McNairy County Recovery Court is a project funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
Our recovery court program is a voluntary one-year treatment program for non-violent misdemeanor offenders. It’s funded under a grant from the State of Tennessee and the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. It is a very intensive program consisting of three phases. Each phase has different requirements for the participants including Intensive Outpatient Programs, AA/NA meetings, frequent drug screening, etc etc etc. Our program helps with education and job placement, money management, job skills, and gives the participants the tools needed to be productive citizens. The county will save an estimated $13,000 in correctional costs for each participant that completes and graduates the program.
This is the McNairy Adult Leadership class project 2021. McNairy Leaders give back! Each class is required to complete a class project before graduation. The project has been picked. It will include community service opportunities! Class projects allow the class to practice and apply leadership skills they are learning throughout the program. McNairy Leadership’s purpose is to identity, encourage, and equip community-minded individuals who want to become more involved, who want to help McNairy County become a better place, and who are willing to embrace leadership opportunities.
