WestStar is hosting the 2nd Annual Virtual ALStar - African American Youth Leadership Summit for sophomore students across West Tennessee on Tuesday, February 22. This conference is specifically designed for students (high school sophomores in West Tennessee) who have incredible potential. Students will have their eyes opened to different career paths and learn the steps that need to be taken to make their present goals a future reality. The purpose of the conference is to give this select group of students a chance to develop leadership skills, soft skills (communication, teamwork, adaptability, dependability, flexibility, etc.), learn the importance of community involvement and career readiness. This would be a one-day virtual conference offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Student(s) will be selected by their superintendent, school principal or guidance counselor to attend.
